February 7th 2013

Today was an extraordinary day; I went to my mums shop to see her with Harry, & the Hubby text me saying he will pick me up, and we're going out...this never happens...so I was very surprised.
When he picked me up, we went to Tesco shopping, which I thought; oh right, not much of a outing but hey ho...
An hour later, we were on our way to Ashford....

We brought back this little delight. Toffee. Our new addition to our family, we now have, Me, Hubby, Harry, Missy & now Toffee. :).
This was a very lovely birthday surprise.

February 6th 2013

Today our little man had an "off" day. He woke up with his usual morning smiles, and that was it for the day, he seemed to be moany and crying all the rest of the day if he wasn't sleeping, which I can only say it's the milk...as he has only had 2 of these days in the 16 weeks of his life!. However, when the lovliest next door neighbour came round, he has endless smiles for her, and a little play time. If you ever need a good neighbour you can always count on Lee. In the 8 months we have lived here, she has helped us with everything, been there when I was down and been there for laughs...we still yet to have a great day out together, it will happen...but she is the one that I can spend time with in the day while the man is at work.

Instead of a lovely walk to the beach today, after the man went to work, he returned with a tin of paint randomly. When we moved we said we would get the house finished before ChubChub arrived, I thought this had happened, as best as we wanted it anyway...Apparently not, our goal for the evening was to paint the kitchen!.
I was expecting a lovely evening in, have cuddles with ChubChub, watching the soaps, bathing him, having a nice family evening....I soon found out the soaps weren't on because of England vs Brazil football, the baby decided to be asleep from 4.20pm for the night, so that was my evening cancelled. I was rather grateful that he came home wanting to paint.

February 5th 2013

Who ever said Parenthood was easy...they must have been joking. Parenthood is the most challenging thing I have ever come across, however, it's the most rewarding thing I have been through!. There can be brilliant days, hard days, days you want to show your life out to everybody and days you just want to curl up in bed all day.

Today, we found out Harry has a high risk of being Dairy Intolerant, as his father is...Harry has always been a sicky baby, I've always just dealt with it, and carried on wiping the sick away. In the past fortnight when he had his first cold, he has definately got worse, throwing up all day, from 10 minutes after a bottle until 10 minutes before the next one, 4 hours later...we thought it was time to take him to the doctors...as we found out, yes, he is dairy intolerant..and we have now changed his milk. It's now the case of trying to wean him off of porridge, rusks, baby brekkie; and now onto soya baby milk, and ella's kitchen baby food.

It was such a lovely day today, so we all went down the beach this evening too...the last time the man and I went down our local beach was 3 years ago, when it was us and our friends, tonight we went down with our dog and our son..it was very strange feeling. We went for an hour walk down the promenade and on the beach,...it really made it feel like everybody had disappeared out of our lives and there was no problems anymore. It was so beautiful, we planned to have the same the next day, and then it started becoming bitter & raining so we left it for a once in a month thing :). It wont be long until Harry can join in with his daddy x

February 4th 2013

As this February is going on, we're running out of new things to do...I'd love to introduce new crafts and playing with him, but as we did footprints and tried to do hand prints for Christmas presents, everything seemed to go into the mouth rather than on the canvas, so I might leave it until he is sitting up and more aware of what he is doing.
We had a lovely relaxed day yesterday, we stayed at home, tidied, cleaned, we also read our first story together and Harry was looking at me trying to giggle all the way through...We are trying to get him to giggle, as he has only done it twice so far :). We had mummy and baby day today, which was lovely.

In the evening, we also gave him a bath, the first time he hasn't moaned from when he goes in, till when he comes out. We played, and we splashed, and we had fun with our ducks and our rattles. I don't actually know what we did differently, but he loved it! & went to bed straight after at 7pm, earliest ever bed time that he has slept with until 9.15am, without waking up!!.

February 3rd 2013

Last night, was the first night of our ChubChub to be in pajamas and not baby grows.
When I was pregnant I refused to buy any pajamas, as I knew I didn't like them, I didn't want him to wear them, and I thought he'd be too cold in them....I lasted longer than I thought I would...I presumed I'd break that thought and have him in them at 8 weeks old...15 weeks old, we put him in size 6-12 month ones, fitting him perfectly....this is him playing with his dad, when we had our Sunday  cuddles once  he woke up this morning.

One of the best things about being a mum is definitely having those morning smiles, when you go into his bedroom, look down into his cot, and he gives you back the beaming smile...that's the moments I live for. Every time he does the gorgeous smiles or the open mouth smiles....not quite a giggle...it melts my heart, and we have cuddles!!

February 2nd 2013

The second day of Febraury, we broke down in the car with ChubChub, Grandy and I. We were going to Canterbury & I ignored the petrol light, and foolishly went the back road too...The hubby had to come and get us, 45 minutes later we were rescued with the petrol can and we carried on our journey to Canterbury.

Also the Christening invites arrived today, which I'm so excited about. I loved making them online and they look even better now they are here, so I have them to write names on, and to send them to all the family. We've chosen the god parents, which was a lot of heartache and arguments, but we've chosen two men and two women for the best roles and they're the best for ChubChub to grow up with.

It was hard to chose them,  but they have been the only ones that have been there through the pregnancy as well as been there as soon as he was born and til now too...They know how to cope with him when he screams and when he also has a dirty nappy!

February 1st 2013

The first day of a photo a day, and to try and do something different each day with my lil chubchub.
Today we had a very fun day;
Firstly, we went to work in Daddy's big white van. We did all the deliveries together, we got caught in the rain & also got a cuddle off of the main Thorley Taverns Boss!!
We had  a very lovely day, even though he slept through the most of it!!
Also, another thing that happened was that Harry rolled over the first time today. It probably wasn't on purpose, but he went from his front to his back, and then about half hour later he did his back to his front. Although this was probably not intentional and he didn't seem to like looking at the carpet from just moving a little, he seemed to find it funny (everything deserves a smile these days.)
Keep reading for more February tasks :) x x
