Looking Into The World.

Today saw a couple of beautiful achievements..

1.We sat him up in his pushchair so he can now see the world around him. It's amazing what strangers stop me when I'm pushing him to see him, to tell me how gorgeous he is and with that he gives them one of his gorgeous beaming smiles as if to say, I know I am :).
He seems to be very good with strangers, especially when all they want to do is coo over him, and he's happy to try and talk back which comes out juberish still, but he still tries every time.
He seems so much happier to hold on and be able to play with his toys as well, as I felt that he was bored every time he was in his pushchair when he was laying down flat, but now it is a pleasure to push him knowing he is enjoying it too :).

2. Harry's first movement with his hands and knees and trying to commando crawl. We have tummy time every day with him, and every day he is growing with it, as the first time we tried he layed there with his face on the floor wondering why I had put him that way. We worked out which toys he really does like to play with, so we put them out of his reach and he moved two arm movements forward to try and grab it, he did look at me and pull his bottom lip out because he couldn't get it and that was his fustrated look, so I turned him over and he then nearly rolled all the way over to try and grab it..
He is definitely growing up, and I can't wait for more tricks and ambitions he reaches :) x x

My Lists

All of last year, it was the craziest busiest year of my life...I went through a lot of stress, a lot of tears, a lot of laughter, a lot of memories, and a lot of lists. Everyday  I am making a list whether it be important or not...
We have a full box of them all, and I'm still going, the hubby isn't impressed.
This blog is very likely therefore, to contain many lists both relevant and irrelevant to how it is with our Chub-Chub(our nickname for lilun) around, and to start with here is a list of things Harry and I DO NOT agree on:

1.  When mealtimes are.  He can be fast asleep, as soon as my dinner is ready and on the table he seems to suddenly wake up and demand to be fed or he will scream the rooftops down!

2. That there is a time and a place.  When the hubbys family is all sat round the table at Christmas at dinner time, for a special meal, farting so loudly you wake yourself up- although highly amusing, is not general table manners.

3.  What tastes nice:  The floor does not.  Mummy's hair does not.  Towels do not.  Teddies do not. Fluffy toys do not. Daddy's fingers do not.

4.  What time you go to bed: Anytime between 8:50pm & 9:45pm he screams the roof down for the next hour & 1/2! Not happy.

Things that we DO agree on:

1. Sleeping: Go to sleep at 8pm and waking up at 9.50am, cannot complain with that.

2. Being fed every two hours is nice, but I prefer something more exciting than milk every time; as we are starting on baby rice (doctors orders) he seems to want that all the time.

3.  The importance of cuddles.

4. We both like to go out, surely it's not good to stay in the same house all day, whenever
we are out he gives everybody his big smiles and has started cooing to everybody that looks at him now!
Please keep reading, to find out more about our life together,x

The End Of 2012...

So, It's been a while....
The last one was me moaning about when Harry wanted to make an appearance, as he was 4 days over due...the real story was...he was 14 days overdue..I was planned to go in to be induced at 9pm on Tuesday 16th October; but at 1am I went into natural labour, and he was placed in my arms at 5:50am, weighing a whooping 9lb5oz, that same morning. Thinking back to it, literally makes me well up with tears!! I enjoyed my labour, definitely more than my pregnancy...but I'm sure that wont stop us having another one in about 4 years time.

We were out by 6.30pm that evening, after all the family coming in to see the new arrival, after his hearing tests, after all the nurses and midwifes cooing at him, and after many cuddles from his mummy and daddy. We came home to many balloons, cards, and all of his stuff all ready for him. We had a sneaky take away and sitting there watching Emmerdale just felt so surreal that we now had Harry with us watching it too!!
He is now a big 3+1/2 months old, sleeping through the night from 8pm-10am, already trying to lift his head, try and sit up, giggling and smiling all the time, and he is such a joy to be around.

Once we had him, most people would settle down from all the planning and list writing and it'd be time to enjoy having a newborn baby around...no not us, we had a wedding to plan for 12th December, 8 weeks later!.. The lists continued, the planning carried on, the stress built up, but I never missed a trick our baby Harry did..
12/12/12 arrived, and after a horrible rainy cloudy week, we had the most beautiful sunset just as we were having our pictures taken. We both thought the day our little Harry was born would be the best day of our lives, we were wrong..it turned out to be that the day we got married with Harry there in our lives watching us was the best day of our lives.
After all that happening, two weeks later we had our first Christmas as a married couple and as parents. It was a very lovely day, and we shared it with my family in the morning and then the hubby's family in the evening. It was amazing spending it with everybody and we all got very very spoilt!!
The past 3+1/2 months have gone so quick, so much has happened and I have not been able to get on here much, but now things are slowing down this year, all we have to plan this year is little monsters Christening which we have planned and booked, and it's not until June!.

Alot of my friends are doing a picture a day a year, but I'm going to try for February, a picture a day and to do something different each day with Harry . It will be tough, but it will also be very fun to do :). As he is growing up rather quickly, it'll be very fun to do :)
That's a catch up of what we've been up to since the last blog & we will be on here very regular from now on. Thank you for reading x
